Alice's Bio
Alice Gomez leverages hands-on knowledge of campaign finance rules and strategy to help corporations, associations, and issues-based groups build and grow an effective political action committee (PAC). In addition to overseeing the daily operations of Cornerstone’s PAC advisory services, Alice delivers a track record of helping organizations increase PAC participation through payroll deduction, events, brochures, giving campaigns and other tips for success.Alice’s in-depth understanding of the Federal Election Campaign Act and regulations comes from a career of direct client representation and campaign finance disclosure reporting. In addition, Alice stays ahead with regular trainings conducted by the Federal Election Commission for PAC professionals.
From exclusive board meetings to widely attended conferences and international trade shows, Alice is a frequent speaker on topics such as campaign finance and international trade. Alice regularly writes policy-focused articles for the Cornerstone PAC Newsletter and the Cornerstone Trade Update, among other publications.
A native English speaker fluent in French and Spanish, Alice earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan, worked overseas while studying political science, interned in the U.S. House of Representatives, and volunteered with the Peace Corps.
Alice holds a Juris Doctor summa cum laude from the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law after completing a legal internship at the United States Tax Court, serving 800 hours in the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic and the Juvenile and Special Education Law Clinic, acting as senior editor of the law review and serving as senator in the Student Bar Association and the Evening Law Students Association. Alice has been admitted to practice law in the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia.
