Maggie's Bio

Maggie joined Cornerstone as an associate in June 2021 supporting the firm’s food and agriculture team. In her role, she assists with issue monitoring, legislative advocacy and outreach, and policy research and analysis.

Prior to joining Cornerstone, Maggie worked for Lighthouse EC as a research assistant where she assisted in data analysis. Before that, she worked at the Alliance to End Hunger where she researched food tax policies across the European Union. Maggie also spent a few years volunteering at the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, where she managed a team of 75 volunteers who filed tax returns for low-income members of the Charlottesville, VA community.

Maggie is a native of Virginia and received her master’s in public policy and bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Virginia. While pursuing her master’s degree, she worked as a graduate teaching assistant for coursework in policy analysis. She oversaw more than 200 students, led weekly discussion sections, and provided feedback on a variety of assignments.
