Andrew's Bio
Andrew Schaeffler joined Cornerstone as an Associate on the OpsWatch team in January 2024 and focuses on providing grant consulting services to the firm’s clients. His work supports local government, tribal government, higher education and nonprofit clients in navigating the federal grants landscape by compiling grant reports, analyzing funding opportunities, as well as engaging with federal agency staff. Andrew has contributed to grant applications submitted to the Department of Transportation, Environmental Protection Agency and National Science Foundation. He also works closely with our federal government relations team, analyzing the implementation of appropriations bills and legislation on federal funding, as well as integrating grants into a client’s holistic federal funding strategy.Andrew was a member of our D.C. intern class for three semesters, served as a Political Assistant at the Democratic Association of Secretaries of State, and as a Consultant and Vice President of Outreach at Michigan Political Consulting, where he led client teams for nonprofit organizations, local governments and political campaigns.
Andrew holds a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in quantitative methods in the social sciences from the University of Michigan.
