(Oklahoma City) – Cornerstone Government Affairs announced today the addition of former Deputy Secretary of State and Deputy Attorney General Samantha Davidson Guinn to the firm’s Oklahoma office. Guinn brings more than a decade of experience within Oklahoma government relations to Cornerstone, which includes staff positions in both the legislative and executive branches as well as advising clients in the private sector.

Before joining Cornerstone, Guinn served as Deputy Attorney General, Chief of Policy in the Office of the Oklahoma Attorney General, managing the policy unit and working directly with the Oklahoma legislature. Upon Governor Stitt’s election in 2018, she served as both his Policy Director, as well as the Deputy Secretary of State, where she led the development and implementation of the Governor’s legislative and policy initiatives. In addition to her executive branch experience, Guinn served the Oklahoma Senate President Pro Tempore as Senior Policy Advisor and Legal Counsel, and Legislative Assistant to the Oklahoma House of Representatives.
In addition to government service, Guinn’s experience includes representation of private sector companies’ interests at the state capitol. She served as Senior Vice President of Government Affairs, Strategy and Policy for Healthcare Highways, as well as Executive Director of Sales, Marketing and Government Affairs for GlobalHealth, both Oklahoma based health care companies. Guinn has most recently served as President and Executive Director of the Institute for Responsible Alcohol Policy, and she will continue in that position in addition to joining Cornerstone.
Guinn received her Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Communications from Oklahoma State University and her Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law.
