Today, as George Floyd is laid to rest, we at Cornerstone share in the shock and sorrow of the unjust killings of Mr. Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and so many other of our Black fellow citizens. The violence plaguing our nation has its roots in our country’s legacy of systemic inequality and spotlights the complex solutions needed to ensure fair and equal treatment for all Americans.

During this painful and tumultuous time, we stand in solidarity with our colleagues, family and friends and all who have been impacted by these tragedies and the subsequent events. We reaffirm our commitment to creating an inclusive, respectful and supportive work environment, while also reflecting and living those values in our larger communities.

We remain united against racism and discrimination and are committed to doing the hard, necessary work today and in the days to come to overcome injustice and be part of the solution.
