Austin, TX – Cornerstone Government Affairs announced the addition of Steve Holzheauser as a Senior Consultant to the firm. Holzheauser comes to Cornerstone having previously been a political consultant with Woodhouse Group Texas.

From 1987 to 1998, Holzheauser served in the Texas State House of Representatives. For four years Holzheauser held the position of Chairman of the House Energy Resources Committee overseeing all aspects of the oil and gas industry. Additionally, Steve served on the powerful Ways & Means, General Calendars, Natural Resources, Economic Development, and Environmental Affairs Committees. During this time, he oversaw many diverse issues including energy policy, telecommunications, environmental issues, tax policy, economic development, water policy and others.
In 1999, Holzheauser began political consulting and successfully represented clients across a wide range of policy areas. He possesses an in-depth knowledge of the legislative process and maintains broad relationships with key members of the Texas Legislature, the Governor’s office, and state agencies.

With the recent additions of Craig and Steve Holzheauser, the firm’s Austin office will be relocating to a larger space in 919 Congress Avenue in the beginning of 2019.
