Prior to joining Cornerstone, Stacey was an Associate Attorney at The Gober Group, where she advised clients on lobbying, ethics and campaign finance compliance matters and helped standardize compliance practices across the firm.

Earlier in her career, Stacey managed a portfolio of grants at Democracy Fund supporting election administration and campaign finance reform initiatives. She also served as a Program Analyst for the Department of Defense’s Federal Voting Assistance Program, where she partnered with election officials nationwide and developed training and voter education resources for military and overseas voters. In that role, she created extensive public-facing voting resources and trained hundreds of state and local election officials on federal election laws and requirements.

Stacey’s experience also includes state politics, where she held several staff and communications roles with the Nebraska Republican Party, including Communications Director. Through that work, she gained firsthand experience working with candidates, donors, advocacy organizations and the media.

Stacey earned her Juris Doctor and Legislative Practice Certificate from Drake University Law School and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Raised in a military family, Stacey spent her childhood in several states and overseas but proudly considers herself a Midwesterner. She lives in Bethesda, Maryland, with her husband and two sons. Stacey is a member of the District of Columbia Bar. In her free time, she enjoys live music, Nebraska Cornhusker football and volleyball, and history.
