Meredith's Bio

Meredith Brown joined Cornerstone as an Associate on the OpsWatch team in December 2024 and focuses on providing grant consulting services to the firm’s clients. Her work supports local government, higher education and nonprofit clients in navigating the federal grants landscape by compiling grant reports, analyzing funding opportunities, as well as engaging with federal agency staff.

Meredith joins Cornerstone after her tenure at the Department of Commerce, where she worked in the Office of the Under Secretary of Economic Affairs as a Data Products Lead. In this role, she led the Regional Economic Research Initiative, a new data initiative offering consulting services, public-facing research, and data products focused on place-based investments and geographic inequality. She also developed and maintained the Commerce Investment Map, an ArcGIS tool designed to aggregate, visualize, and analyze over $20 billion in Department of Commerce investments, incorporating key demographic and economic data from five government sources across six overlapping geographic levels.

Prior to this role, Meredith worked as a Data Analyst at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP). She was selected as one of 38 fellows for the inaugural cohort of the U.S. Digital Corps Fellowship. In this capacity, Meredith assisted the Chief Data Scientist of the U.S. and the White House Infrastructure Implementation Team in gathering, managing, and analyzing data related to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act. Additionally, she supported the OSTP National Science and Technology Council’s Subcommittee on Equitable Data by coordinating interagency data initiatives and conducting equity assessments of key federal programs.

Meredith received her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Statistical Science from Duke University.
