Kaitlyn's Bio
Kaitlyn Metz joined Cornerstone in April 2026, and currently serves as an Associate. In this role, Kaitlyn supports clients in a variety of issue areasShe previously served as a Cornerstone Appropriations Intern, where she monitored deadlines and submission requirements for both language and programmatic requests. She also played a key role in completing more than 200 requests behalf of the firm’s clients.
Prior to her internship with Cornerstone, Kaitlyn served as a Lobbying and Public Policy Intern at Thompson Coburn, LLP. In this role, she covered hearings, tracked legislation and identified key policy trends and their implications for clients in the energy and higher education space. Previously, Kaitlyn also interned in Rep. Susie Lee’s Office (D-NV) and with the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs. In her roles on Capitol Hill, she answered constituent calls, conducted research and wrote recommendation memos for cosponsored legislative requests.
Kaitlyn holds a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Sustainability Studies from Clemson University’s Honors College.
