Dianne's Bio

Dianne Nellor, former Clerk/Subcommittee Staff Director on the Senate Committee on Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies, joined Cornerstone in February 2025 bringing over 20 years of legislative and appropriations experience.

Dianne comes to Cornerstone with over 20 years of experience analyzing federal budgets, developing and drafting appropriations bills, and providing policy guidance and recommendations to United States Senators. In her most recent role, she served as the Clerk/Subcommittee Staff Director on the U.S. Senate Committee on Appropriations, Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration and Related Agencies. In that capacity, she managed the day-to-day activities of the subcommittee and staff and oversaw the development of the annual appropriations bill and execution of budget and oversight hearings. Dianne was responsible for every facet of budget and program execution for the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and oversaw complex issues between multiple interests from the Senate, House of Representatives, the Executive Branch, industry and interest groups to ensure bipartisan support and passage of the annual Agriculture Appropriations bill. Prior to this role, Dianne also served as a Professional Staff Member on the committee.

Before her time on the U.S. Senate Committee on Appropriations, Dianne served as a Professional Staff Member on the U.S. Senate Joint Economic Committee. In this role she wrote weekly economic reports and managed all hearings for the committee.

Dianne received her Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Utah.
