Public administration and local government expert newest addition to firm
Cornerstone, a leading, bipartisan government relations and public affairs firm with federal and state reach, announced Tuesday the addition of Michael (Mike) Enlow as a principal in the firm’s Baton Rouge office. Mike brings more than 16 years of experience in public administration and local government, engineering, sales, construction and project management, disaster recovery program delivery, alternative project delivery and program management.
He joins Cornerstone after working for more than seven years for the Ascension Parish Government. Most recently, Mike served as the director of the Ascension Parish Government Project and Construction Management Department. Previously, he worked for the Public Works Department, where he managed various civil works projects and was responsible for developing the $95 million Move Ascension Initiative, the first all-encompassing transportation infrastructure program developed by the parish. As part of this program, Mike and his team successfully identified and fast-tracked a group of quick start projects that were further complicated due to funding restrictions and multi-entity stakeholder involvement.
Before working for Ascension Parish Government, Mike spent more than eight years at CDM Smith, an international design and consulting firm, as a client service manager selling various civil and environmental design services projects.
“We’re particularly pleased to add Mike to the team given his unique local government and project management background,” Managing Director Campbell Kaufman said. “His skillset is unique in our industry, and we are lucky to have him.”
Mike served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve from 1996-2001 and received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Louisiana State University.
He joins the well-established Cornerstone Louisiana team that includes Campbell Kaufman, Gabrielle Kees, Stephen Ledet, Nial Patel and Paul Rainwater.
“I am extremely excited for the opportunity to add value to the Cornerstone team,” Mike said. “It is encouraging to join a team with such a tremendous amount of bandwidth and diversity; an organization that puts a premium on professionalism, competence and teamwork; yet equally as important is the premium that is put on the wellbeing of the employees. I am humbled to be the newest member of the Louisiana Cornerstone team.”
