WASHINGTON, D.C. – Cornerstone Government Affairs is proud to announce Republican strategist Jimmy Peacock will be joining the firm as a Principal effective June 2. With over a decade of experience at the highest levels of Republican politics – including key roles with Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-MO), Rep. Ashley Hinson (R-IA) and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) – Peacock brings a deep understanding of legislative strategy, political communications, stakeholder engagement and fundraising to the firm.

Most recently, Peacock served as Chief of Staff to Sen. Schmitt, leading the Senator’s policy agenda, communications and constituent services, while managing nearly 40 staffers across multiple offices. Prior to that, Peacock acted as Chief of Staff to Rep. Hinson, where he set up the Congresswoman’s office infrastructure and guided strategic initiatives that established her as a leading voice among House Republicans. His ability to build effective teams and networks has been a hallmark of his career.

Peacock started his career on Capitol Hill working as a Special Assistant to Sen. Rubio, managing on-the-ground operations, ensuring successful events, facilitating stakeholder engagement, arranging communications and coordinating across various departments on behalf of the Senator.

Peacock has also played pivotal roles in Republican campaign operations. He managed Congresswoman Hinson’s successful bid to defeat an incumbent in 2020, orchestrating a fundraising operation that broke state records and helped solidify her place in Congress. His ability to execute high-stakes political strategy extends back to his work for Sen. Rubio and Virginia gubernatorial candidate Ed Gillespie, where he ensured seamless engagement with stakeholders and maximized the effectiveness of conservative campaign efforts.

Peacock received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Furman University.
