Cornerstone Strengthens Emerging Tech Policy Offerings with Addition of Semiconductor Industry veteran Holly Pataki

The former Samsung executive and CHIPS expert will work with clients at the intersection of emerging technology and national security policy

WASHINGTON, D.C. – September 8, 2026 – Cornerstone Government Affairs, an employee-owned, bipartisan government relations, public affairs and consulting firm, announced today the expansion of its technology, energy and semiconductor policy capabilities with the addition of Holly Pataki. Pataki, who joins the firm as a Senior Consultant, is a CHIPS expert with more than a decade of corporate government relations experience, having worked for two of the world’s largest technology and semiconductor companies.

“I’ve been fortunate to work alongside the Cornerstone team for several years, tackling critical policy challenges and opportunities facing technology companies,” said Pataki. “Their strategic, outside-the-box approach to problem-solving in Washington is unmatched, and I’m excited to join as a Senior Consultant, and help clients navigate policy issues across AI, semiconductors, export controls and beyond.”

Pataki previously served as the Head of Samsung Group Policy & Deputy Head of Government Relations at Samsung Electronics America. Additionally, Pataki oversaw the U.S. policy team for Samsung Biologics, Samsung Display and Samsung Heavy Industries.

As part of these leadership roles at Samsung, Pataki was at the center of major technology and semiconductor policy debates shaping the U.S. industry. She helped craft and secure passage of the CHIPS and Science Act, unlocking billions in incentive funding for Samsung and the broader U.S. semiconductor industry, and later helped secure Samsung’s CHIPS grant award in 2024. Her industry work has also spanned a multitude of issues impacting global manufacturing competitiveness, working closely with officials across the U.S. government.

Prior to Samsung, Pataki worked at Micron Technology, where she spearheaded the company’s federal engagement strategy and advocacy efforts as Managing Director of Federal Government Affairs. Pataki began her career working with the National Republican Congressional Committee under former Chairmen Greg Walden and Pete Sessions.

“We are pleased to welcome Holly to the Cornerstone team and excited to continue strengthening our offerings at the intersection of technology and national security,” Cornerstone Chief Executive Officer Geoff Gonella said. “Demand for policy support in the semiconductors industry has grown exponentially since the conception of CHIPS in the FY2021 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and the passage of the landmark CHIPS and Science Act in 2022. Holly was integral to the advancement and implementation of these major policy initiatives, and both her deep industry expertise and corporate experience will directly benefit our clients.”
