Cornerstone Principal Matt Paul spoke with The Washington Post about Iowa’s gubernatorial race and potential Democratic candidates. He explained that while Democrats may have an opening for a competitive governor’s race in November, the party still needs to work to reach voters across Iowa.
“You can’t believe your own press releases here. We have got a lot of work to do,” Paul said, noting the more than 180,000-voter-registration advantage that Republicans hold in the state. “But I am a little more than cautiously optimistic that we have the opportunity for success.”
