Matt Paul, Cornerstone Public Affairs Principal and Director, spoke with The Economist to share on-the-ground insights into Rob Sands’ gubernatorial campaign in Iowa. Drawing on his experience from Tom Vilsack’s successful 1998 gubernatorial bid, Matt noted parallels between the two campaigns:
“Tom’s campaign came out with a very simple mantra,” says Mr Paul: “It’s time to rotate the crops.” He notes that Mr Sand and others have adopted the slogan. “It feels a lot like ‘98 to me.”
