Prior to Cornerstone, Kristi spent seven years as the Appropriations and Education Committee Assistant to the Mississippi State Senate. In this role, she supported legislative tracking, committee meetings and hearings, managed budget hearings for state agency directors and Senate Chairmen, prepared and proofed state agency legislation, and worked closely with attorneys, agency directors and lobbyists throughout the legislative process.

Prior to her work with the Mississippi State Senate, Kristi built a diverse professional background spanning education, property management and construction management. Her previous experience includes teaching at the elementary and middle school levels as well as managing multifamily housing construction and acquisition projects across Texas, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida.

Kristi earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with honors from the University of Southern Mississippi.
