Dallas Prater joined Cornerstone in April of 2023 serving as a senior associate on the federal government relations team, supporting the firm’s national security, cybersecurity and technology clients. He provides issue monitoring, assists with legislative advocacy and outreach and conducts policy research and analysis.Prior to joining the firm, Dallas served as deputy national press secretary at American Bridge 21st Century PAC. In this role, Dallas drove the media strategy for more than 10 national/statewide campaigns and candidates, and drafted press releases driving narratives in support of the Presidential, Senate and statewide campaigns. In addition, he created strategic, analytical measurement and insight reports outlining share of voice, impressions, reach and audience sentiment.
Prior to this role, Dallas served as a deputy research director for the John King for Governor Campaign, where he designed and conducted opposition research strategies, as well as donor vetting, and developed campaign policy positions and drafted questionnaire responses.
Dallas also served as a legislative & press intern for the U.S. House of Representatives. In this role, he conducted research for hearings and briefings on behalf of the Ranking Member Bennie G. Thompson and Democratic members of both the House Committee on Homeland Security’s Transportation and Protective Security Subcommittee and the Counterterrorism and Intelligence Subcommittee. In addition, he attended weekly briefings and prepared memorandums for a staff of over 25 people, as well as Rep. Thompson.
Dallas holds a Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Mississippi.
