Cornerstone Principal Patrick Flood was selected by the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) as a 2026 Award Recipient. Patrick, who spent 26 years in the U.S. Air Force, was awarded the Colonel Paul W. Arcari Meritorious Service Award for his dedication to advancing the quality of life for service members, veterans and their families during his tenure as National Security Advisor to Rep. Don Bacon (R-NE). Patrick noted:
“In the Air Force, we always said: ‘Take care of the people and they’ll take care of the mission,'” he said.
That philosophy applies to policymaking.
“If we lose that trust,” Flood said, “we risk the strength of the all-volunteer force itself.”
