Longtime Texas legislative expert adds new policy expertise
Cornerstone, a leading, bipartisan government relations and public affairs firm with federal and state reach, announced the addition of Anne Mazuca Tuesday as vice president in the firm’s Austin, Texas office.
Anne brings to the firm more than a decade of legislative experience working at the Texas Capitol serving members from the Dallas, Galveston and South Texas regions. Throughout her tenure in the Texas Legislature, Anne built relationships with local elected officials, community leaders and stakeholders from across the state, while also engaging on a wide range of policy issues.
Most recently, Anne served for six years as chief of staff to State Representative R.D. ‘Bobby’ Guerra and was responsible for guiding the day-to-day operations of her Capitol and McAllen offices. Additionally, Anne provided support for her member’s re-election campaign, giving strategic advice, assisting with messaging, and fulfilling all Texas Ethics Commission and campaign finance filings requirements.
Before being named chief of staff, Anne served as a legislative director and legislative aide and was the policy lead for Guerra’s work on the House Appropriations, Public Health, Energy Resources, State Affairs, and Ways & Means committees.
