Will's BioWill Todd joined Cornerstone in July of 2019 after serving for 12 years in the U.S. Senate. Prior to joining the firm, Will most recently served as professional staff on the Senate Committee on Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense.
On the Defense Subcommittee, Will served as a majority budget analyst and gained a detailed knowledge of military planning, budgeting and execution as well as an extensive network of contacts on Capitol Hill and within the Pentagon. He was responsible for the strategic direction and oversight of more than $50 billion in annual Department of Defense appropriations accounts in this role. Additionally, Will was the lead professional staff member for the Navy’s shipbuilding and conversion programs, U.S. Special Operations Command, U.S. Cyber Command, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, and the Strategic Capabilities Office. Prior to his work on the Subcommittee, Will served as deputy legislative director and military legislative assistant for Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS).
Will holds master’s degrees in international affairs from Georgetown University and economic and workforce development from the University of Southern Mississippi. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, not far from his hometown of Arkabutla, Mississippi. Will now resides in Washington, D.C. with his wife, Mary Mitchell, and two young children.
