Ryan's BioRyan serves as an associate supporting Cornerstone’s energy and transportation & infrastructure teams. He provides client teams with issue monitoring, assists with legislative advocacy and outreach, and conducts policy research and analysis.
Prior to joining Cornerstone in June 2021, Ryan interned at K&L Gates LLP as a Lloyd Meeds Public Policy Fellow where he monitored Capitol Hill legislation for a variety of client interests, ranging from the energy industry to intellectual property and technology trends. He also wrote biweekly briefings on issues related to renewable energy, infrastructure, defense, and maritime. Before this internship, Ryan served as a district office intern for Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-IN). In this role, he engaged in district projects, attended events, compiled daily briefings, conducted research, and interacted with constituents to further Rep. Walorski’s policy agenda. He also interned at the White House in the Office of Presidential Correspondence and was responsible for coordinating responses to emails, letters and calls for assistance from the American public and presenting daily data findings to supervisors.
Ryan received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame where he majored in Political Science and minored in Business Economics and Public Policy. He served as an editor-in-chief for Notre Dame’s undergraduate political research journal, Beyond Politics, while serving as an undergraduate teaching assistant for European Politics. Other professional experience includes work for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay and Special Olympics Massachusetts.
