Patrick's Bio
Patrick Kelly joined our federal government relations team as an associate and supports clients in the health care, immigration, tax and higher education spaces.Prior to Cornerstone, Patrick completed a Democratic Cloakroom Internship for the Office of Speaker Nancy Pelosi. During his time on the House floor, he was able to witness the legislative process in its entirety, from the submission of bills and cosponsor forms to the series in which they were voted on. Additionally, he served as a communication point between House Democratic offices and the House floor by answering phone calls regarding the schedule, vote series and floor speeches.
Patrick is a recent graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a supplemental major in Latino studies. During his time at Notre Dame, Patrick served as a student assistant for the Rooney Center for the Study of American Democracy. In this role, Patrick was responsible for website editing and drafting of advertisements for school workshops. Simultaneously, Patrick was a contractor for the Friends Committee on National Legislation where he developed a re-engagement strategy for 1,300+ young adult advocates to lobby their members of Congress over the summer and served as a liaison between Congressional staffers and state delegations to oversee visits. Patrick also served as the political director for the College Democrats of Notre Dame and the outreach coordinator for the Student Coalition for Immigration Advocacy.
