Morgan's BioMorgan joined Cornerstone in February 2020 to support the firm’s growing national security, defense, agriculture, and international client base. Before joining Cornerstone, Morgan served as a national security associate at a boutique lobbying firm here in DC focusing solely on defense appropriations, specifically within the United States Air Force. Prior to that, Morgan worked on the Hill as a research assistant at the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee focusing on cybersecurity, counterterrorism, and drone legislation.
Prior to graduating and moving to Washington, Morgan completed many internships both in her native Tennessee and in DC interning for both Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN) as a defense appropriations intern in 2015 and former Rep. Jimmy Duncan (R-TN), graduating high school early to do so. During her last year at the University of Tennessee, Morgan worked on Rep. Tim Burchett’s (R-TN) campaign, replacing her former retiring intern boss. She has also worked on Sen. Alexander and former Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam’s campaigns across Tennessee. In 2016, she also interned for the European Union while studying abroad in Europe, specifically focusing on international security. Morgan’s agriculture backgrounds include deep farming roots as a 12th generation Tennessean and having previously interned for Farm Bureau’s Public Policy Department lobbying in Nashville, Tennessee.
Morgan is a proud native of Tennessee and graduate of the University of Tennessee, where she received her BA in Political Science with a concentration in international relations in 2017. When she is not in the office, Morgan can be found riding her horses, running with her dog Johnny Cash, or working on finishing her private pilot’s license.
