Matthew's Bio

Matthew joined Cornerstone in February of 2023 as an associate for our federal government relations team. He supports client teams in a variety of issue areas including local government, education and tax policy.

Prior to Cornerstone, he served as an economic research analyst at the Republican National Committee (RNC). In this role, Matthew conducted policy research on inflation, real wages, interest rates and other economic data. He wrote and published over 15 research pieces, which were shared with more than 5,000 Hill offices and reporters, in addition to tracking congressional votes and updates to legislation, such as, the Inflation Reduction Act. During his time at the RNC, he also held the role of communications and research intern, where he conducted policy research and compiled content for op-eds. Prior to his time at the RNC, he was an intern for the Montgomery County Republican Party, where he created social media content and managed media accounts and increased their Instagram following by 144 percent. Additionally, he created a monthly newsletter which reached over 10,000 subscribers.

Matthew graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in finance and government and politics.
